Due to the sever weather forecast for this weekend, the meeting for Saturday is canceled.

Police Car Equipment Review

At our November meeting the post members went over traffic stop
procedures and laws. They also reviewed some of the equipment found in
the PSP cruisers.

Traffic Stop Class

Today post members had the opportunity to explore basic traffic laws,
learn basic traffic stop procedures, and had hands-on experience with
the patrol car.

Next Meeting

Hello everyone. It seems that there was a pretty good turnout for the last meeting. I am sorry I missed it.

The next meeting will be on Sunday, September 13th 2009. The meeting will be from 1-3pm.

A few of you have inquired about getting a ride to and from the meeting. I will be coming to the meeting from Schuylkill County. I can pick up and drop off post members in Pottsville. If you need a ride, please email me. r.a.valentine@gmail.com

If you are from a different area and still need a ride, please let me know. I will see if I can get you in contact with another member from your area for the possibility of carpooling.

I am very happy to see that we have some new faces at the last meeting; and, I look forward to seeing you all at the next meeting!

Post Meeting....

Hello everyone,

I realize it has been a while since I have talked with most of you. I must say that Camp Cadet was a great success! I want to thank all of the post members who were JCs this year. You all did a wonderful job! The camp could not have run without you.

Just a reminder that the next post meeting will be on Saturday July 25th at 11am. Please make sure you will be in attendance. There is going to be alot going on this year at the post, and we are expecting to have quite a few new camo graduates attending.

Hello everyone.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news regarding the Post trip to the State Police Academy on Sunday April 19th. Due to schedule conflicts with the team that runs the PRISM (Shoot-Don't-Shoot) system, the trip has been canceled. As of writing this letter, we do not have a new date.

However, The post meeting for Sunday April 5th 2009, is still on. We look forward to seeing all of the post members. Please make every effort to be there.

The Next meeting.

Hello everyone.

Thank you to all those who attended the last post meeting.  My apologies for my absence.  As many of you know I had a prior engagement.

Tpr Smith and I talked about the next meeting.  Originally at the last meeting the next meeting was scheduled for February 22nd.  However, due to conflicting schedules, this date will not work.

It was decided that the next post meeting will be held on Sunday March 1st.  There will be no meeting in the month of February.

At the next meeting, along with our normal post activities, we will be discussing our role with and the rules of the Boy Scouts of America.

Also, if you are interested in attending camp this year as a junior counselor, please return your application as soon as possible.
